Hi everyone!! So... for AFA 2011...!!

i cosplayed HATSUNE MIKU!! (sandplay ver.)

yes, i've caught on to the MIKU fever! But i decided to cosplay the sandplay version because i fell in love with costume! it's so pretty!

I was lucky though because my fren, Man jie cos this version before so i just bought the costume and wig from her. OR ELSE... it would have cost a bomb 0.0

i wanted to meet man jie at AFA but for some strange reason we couldn't meet up!! either she or me doesnt pick up each other's call. LOL. think we were too busy!!

Anyway, lucky that i met the REDMOON group *hearts*

However, before i show you the pictures, i am so proud to say that i saw KANAME☆ & Usagi and we even managed to talk!! If you read my blog, you would know that Kaname is my inspiration for cosplay and im a fan of him!!

Ok, this is what happened:

*dramatic drum roll*

Ten Ten, Daphne, Pui Yee and i decided to go explore what's inside the hall (luckily they dragged me in too or else, i would definitely cry if they saw kaname and i didn't).

So the four of us were walking around the hall and we went towards the maid and butler cafe.

Okay la, side track a bit... i wanted to go see YUTAKI (http://yutakis.com/) at the butler cafe... AND I SAW HIM!!! *Cho kawaii/kakkoi* *faints* Seriously, if you see him, you automatically wanna go in and get served by him. Plus he keep poking his head out to look for customers! (okay... anyway... back to the story!)

So, suddenly someone (i am guessing AFA's organiser or something??) asked if the four of us wanted to join a competition or see KANAME or something...

I cannot remember the exact words because all that was processing in my mind was "SEE. KANAME!!!"

OK I WAS MAD EXCITED OKAY?!??!

(even as i am writing this... I am so excited remembering!!)

So we followed the person and THEN..... when i saw Kaname and usagi walked out from their cabin, i literally froze!!!! with my eyes going like this *0wO*!!!

Okay after for like 5 seconds or something, i composed myself and smiled nicely to go towards kaname and usagi. I couldn't believe how calm i was!! Normally, i would be shrieking in excitement and act all fangirl but i was quiet and composed!! *faint*

But now that i think about it, i guess it was good or else KANAME will probably think that im weird. Which btw... a lot of people tell me i am. OK!! it's unique ok!!

So anyhow, because tenten was cos-ing Perona from one piece, she has (ability) a negative ghost with her that supposedly turns anyone that it touches negative. For example: they will say that they are a worm or shouldn't exist.

AND THEN... KANAME SAMA touched the negative ghost and turned 'negative' for awhile by saying he was a worm! haha... love how candid he was! *hearts*

So we talked for awhile and they shared what they have cosplayed through a interpreter. It was such an awesome experience and we wrap everything up with a picture!

After that i got to shake his hand and i told myself that I COULD DIE HAPPY!!

Please excuse my weird expression! too happy to care!!

Samsung EX-1 review + MS colour's lousy attitude!

Hi guys!!

A bit late, but i finally bought a semi-pro camera - SAMSUNG EX-1 :D

Been eyeing for a good camera for so long! Personally i tried to just get a point and shoot camera (cos it's so much cheaper) but in the end I succumb to the temptation of a better camera.

My criteria of a camera are:

1. Good quality pictures

2. relatively light and compact

3. good white balance

4. looks nice

So if you look at my second criteria, a DSLR is out of the picture because it's usually bulky and not nice... so the other options are either a semi-pro or a point and shoot.

My dear actually knows that i've been eyeing cameras for so long that he took me to a camera shop in AMK... This shop is called MS COLOUR. (warning: DO NOT go there ever! - will tell you why in a bit) [http://www.mscolor.com.sg/amk_hub.htm]

Anyway initially i settled on a point and shoot camera(a samsung one as well) and thought that it was not bad as i research on the pros/cons of the camera online. I tested it at the shop and decided to buy it and my dear decided to buy it for me as a early Christmas present! keke...

but when i took it home with a bad lighting, the pictures quality of ALL the pictures turned out super weird! I WAS SUPER DEVASTATED. like seriously... So in the end, i went back to the shop the next day (MS COLOUR @ AMK) and asked if i could change to another camera. There was this skinny and kinda tall guy who was like ok and asked me what i wanna change to. [Lesson learnt: samsung point and shoot cameras are just not that good.]

I said "er... another point and shoot camera...?"

Then he commented that in a way as though i am very fussy with image quality (which ok i am) so i should get a semi-pro/DSLR camera... I mean it's logical arguement but i told him that i've seen point and shoot cameras that have good image quality as well. (for example CANON ixus series)

Then he gotten irritated... i mean i am just expressing my needs/wants as a customer and he got irritated? However, I still asked politely if he could recommend me perhaps CANON point and shoot cameras... So after awhile (when i was playing with the canon camera), he recommended a better camera (semi-pro/DSLR) cameras.

Ok, before i go on, let me say that i have absolutely NO KNOWLEDGE on how to use a professional camera's features...

So when he introduced all the terms to me about the semi-pro/DSLR cameras, i told him that "ok... i know this has a better image quality but i don't really know how to use all those extra features so it's kinda useless to me as i think i'll just use the "auto/smart" function"

AND he got even more irritated. LOL. i could clearly hear what he was thinking in his mind "WALAO, WANT GOOD IMAGE QUALITY THEN DON KNOW HOW TO USE THESE FUNCTIONS..."

Ok la... It just that i never spent the time to learn all those terms and how to use mah...

So this is what he said to me: "if you want good quality image, get the semi-pro/DSLR cameras. but if you dont know these functions and you think that they are a waste of money, then get the point and shoot."

LOL. i didn't say that it was a waste of money. (T.T)/' Y U LOOK DOWN ON ME?!?!

Long story short, as i was tight on budget that month (couldnt bear to ask my dear to pay for me again!), and decided to get the semi-pro camera. So i asked if i could pay by installment or could make a special exception for me to come back later to buy the camera but refund the samsung point and shoot camera to them first. Another guy (a bit on the plum side but very nice) helped me to ask the boss for the latter (exception) and i told them that i'll be back.

I decided to get SAMSUNG EX-1 and asked them for the price of it and they told me $540. They told me the price may vary (go up or go down) because of evaluation and i was like "ok thanks for telling me"

So i came back at the date that i told them that i'll be back and a day before, i asked my dear to help me ask MS COLOUR what was the price of SAMSUNG EX-1 since the next day i would be going to purchase it. they told my boyfriend "$520" and i was very happy because that's mean i would save about $20.

BUT WHEN I WENT BACK TO THE SHOP, i bet they recognize me (obviously with my bright hair and all) and totally quoted me "$560" for SAMSUNG EX-1. I mean they already know that i MUST BUY from them since i have credits with them. Anyway, i was a bit confused so i explained to them that my boyfriend came yesterday and they quoted "$520".

What angered me was not that the price went up in one day or what. I mean i was told that the price could go up or down... BUT it was what the same tall and skinny guy said after that... "HUH? no ah... ALL ALONG $560 one de"

AND I WAS LIKE "HUH?!?!" in my mind... i mean if the price really went up you can just say BUT to say "ALL ALONG" was that price was a bit exaggerating

So i asked them... "hmm... my boyfriend came yesterday and you guys told him "$520"..."

he replied "NO LA... confirm he hear wrong..."

ok pause for a minute. My boyfriend seldom hear things wrong. His hearing is so good that soft sounds outside his house he can also hear (-.-). BUT OK... let's say he did hear the wrong info ok...

So i said "huh... oh really? but when i first came here 2 weeks ago, you told me that it was $540?"

"NO LA... ALL ALONG $560. you hear wrongly la."

(-.-) are you serious? i couldn't have heard wrong. 1. you repeated to me that price ($540) again and again when i was choosing 2. even when i was leaving the shop you told me that it was $540 but may be re-evaluated.

Ok... i am not talking about the increase of $20 or what.. but it's the consistency of their words and how they will twist it so easily that i was angry. i believed that they twist it to their advantage because they knew i had no choice but to buy from them... Seriously, that $540 price that they quoted me initially, i didn't even ask for a discount or what so i am very sure that it was $540.

Anyway at this point of time, i called my dear and told him the situation and he told me that i also have no choice but to get from them also since i have credit with them. So in the end, i bought it from them but was unhappy. THEY LOST A CUSTOMER.

AND THAT CUSTOMER COMPLAINED ON HER BLOG. so technically, they did not just lose one customer, it might affect other people's opinion on them.

Disclaimer: Ok, i have nothing against MS COLOUR ok.. just sharing my experiences. (and hopefully they might see my post and do something to their employee's attitude [unless the company allows them to sell the product at a certain range which results in inconsistency])

P.S: i heard from my friend, Mark that they "choose their customers" - he too doesnt like MS COLOUR anymore..

Halloween 2011

So this year's Halloween, i wanted to do something different!

& i decided to do something that i always wanted - to go out in normal clothes but with my cosplay wigs. I chose to go out with my miku bob wig and the effect was well... as expected. LOL

(Yes, blur pictures make me look nicer. )

anyway, PEOPLE STARED!! okay, obviously that is expected but i mean, like stare at you for super long as if you're crazy or something. For once in my life, i felt Singaporeans were like too normal for their own good that when something like this happens they immediately think that it's weird.

Which always goes back to my question: Why can't Singaporeans be like Japanese and be willing to accept our different styles and tastes?

Back to topic, i was grateful to my friends, because it wasn't so awkward with them around.

There was even this random person who was calling "LADY GAGA! LADY GAGA!" and i was like giving him the "-.-" look. LOL.

Anyway, i dont have much pictures, but it was fun doing something different :D

IT'S THE FALL SEASON!!

Although Singapore doesn't really have 'Fall' but well, we kinda do celebrate it through our dressing. (which just makes us more warm and all, for but the sake of fashion, who cares?)

Then again, i consider myself not really fashionable in a sense since i don't follow trends. I wear what i like and what is comfortable.

there's one thing that makes me motivated to blog - a camera!

& unfortunately, my camera 'died' on me and i will need to shop for a new one soon!

haha, but now that my excuse for not blogging is out of the way, some updates!! My amazing dear is in army which leaves me more time to blog now. LOOK OF THE WEEK

okay thought that i'll start this section as an excuse to just post up pictures without me blogging about events. but of course, this was started because my fren, evi asked me to join lookbook. But then i thought my style is not really say very stylish so thought i'll just put it on my blog. PLUS i only dress up on weeekends. weekdays are like casual style to the max because im super lazy to wake up even earlier to dress up :p

Dear Graduation Day!

Dear's Graduation Day!

Im so proud of my dear!! He finally graduated and was in roll of honors!!! o(^v^)o

wahhh! i dont think i'll ever get in roll of honors!! wahhhhhhhhh.. *still in awe...*

so i attended the graduation ceremony with his parents but (shhhh...) i actually had to sneak in because there were only 2 available tickets for each student. But i really wanted to see my dear graduate and thus his dad helped to smuggle me in too. LOL.

He was the last few to go up because he was to take some award as well. So we waited and waited.

Anyway this is what i was wearing that day. Yes my eyes are half-way blinking but this was the only picture that had you can see what im wearing. *it's impt! you'll see why* btw, this is him after the event all sweaty cos it's so warm that day and imagine that you've to wear so many layers.

Off track for a while, but WHY do you have to wear formal clothes inside? i mean the pants i can understand but the shirt inside...? you cant even see it right? even if i wear my cute bunny shirt no one will know also what...

Anyway, after the graduation ceremony, dear has to go to the VIP room. and i didn't know I had to accompany him as well!! my god, did you see what i was wearing?!?! it wasn't formal and now i have to go to the VIP room where all the VIPs were at?!

it was so embarrasssssiiinnnnggggggggg..... (#-.-#)

Anyway i still went in to support him but still... *sighs* on a good note though, the food there was awesome! #findhumorinbadsituation

After that, we went to eat WATAMI (super loves btw!!) and went to his house!

i took his graduation cloth thingy and started to wear it as well. haha. and then force his brother to wear and asked if his mom wanted to join in.

Maido Cafe @ Nex

Maido/Maid Cafe at Nex to find Miyake

Before i start, find Miyake here. (http://www.myfatpocket.com/miyake/)

i think i started to like her and follow her blog after AFA because i was google-ing KANAME (Kaname's and my AFA cosplay post here) :D

Then i think she looks doll-like and japanese like. haha. And it just so happen that she's dear's fren fren. but of course i dont know her personally lah.

So when i was reading her blog, she said that the Maid cafe from AFA was going to be at Nex. Then i wanted to support her by going down. Plus i didn't go to any cafe when i was at AFA because i was cos-ing.

Anyway. i dragged Samantha along since she like anime as well. haha. (On a side note, go watch Kaichou wa Maid-sama because it's awesome!)

When i went there, we were immediately greeted by the Maids there with Japanese words like "Ojou-sama, something something." haha, couldn't catch their exact words cos they talked like so fast 0.0 Then we were greeted with this big sign on the wall saying "NO PHOTOGRAPHY". 0(>.<)0

Why no photography?~! haix. But i was allowed to take the food though. No taking with or of the Maids serving you. If you want to take a photo with them, you would have to pay $5!

I felt that the cafe was quite weird at first, but after awhile you kinda get used to it because every few minutes, the maids will talk to their customers. AND... if there is a maid cafe, they are tons of men. Come on lah, there was so little females there. the ratio of guys:female=10:2. Plus a saw a group of guys buying more cake cos they wanted to stay longer.

So we ordered the cheapest on the menu because everything there was like quite expensive. But then again, a portion of it goes to help Japan so im not complaining.

Then the maid who brought out the dessert was asking us if we would like to do some dance to make the cake "power-up" or something like that. haha. i side-glanced to samantha and we were like "er... it's okay, you can do it." Then she did some cute moves and apparently the cake would taste nicer. But hey, it really was nice though.

All the chocolate and strawberry drawings on the strawberry Chiffon cake is done by the Maids. Kawaii desu ne~?

After awhile, the Maid came to us and asked us to play 'scissors, paper, stone, Maid version'. So this is how it goes: you do some dance with your hands (like make heart signs) saying some japanese words like "Moe~ Moe~" and then you show scissors, paper or stone.

Of course, i played since they already asked and you can win candy. haha. I'm such a kid.

We played for a few rounds since we kept having a draw....

AND I LOST... (T.T) But i still get my candy. lol.

In the middle, they had a mini-singing performance singing "I'm a dreamer" (you know the theme song for Card Captor Sakura?) and i was surprised because they can SING!! wow.

At the end, i really wanted to take photo with Miyake but i couldn't find her in the cafe. So i straight away assume some girl who looks a bit like her to be Miyake. And i was disappointed because she looks so different from her blog and thought that she photoshop her pictures a lot. lol.

But i was still thick-skin and ask a random maid if i could take photo with Miyake (just in case she's at the kitchen or that girl really is Miyake). But she wasn't there. (-.-*)

So i told the Maid that we'll think about it because i really wanted to see Miyake. (God... i sound like a stalker)

HAHA, in the end we just went off and went to SUNTEC~~

Gala premiere of Perfect Rivals/ Review of Prefect Rivals

Gala premiere of Perfect Rivals

Apparently, i was asked if i would like to go to the Gala Premiere of Prefect Rivals because my friend's (Vicki) Sister was one of the producers. Lucky ;p

Dragged Daryl along although he don't really like local films. Hehe.

I was suppose to go to the Red carpet event that was before the movie premiere but i was late due to work at the Suntec IT road show. But when i got there, the event was already almost done and the stars were only drinking and chatting with the people around.

So i went to EAT!!

Aiyah, i was super hungry because i didn't eat much when i was working so i thought just skip the event and dear and me went to LJS because i love the cajun chicken there(;

After that, we went back to the event and i saw the stars but that day i was feeling very tired and just wasn't "thick skin" enough to ask the stars for pictures. Thinking back, i should actually taken a photo with them (-.-)

Anyway, fast forward when we were waiting for the movie to start. Before the movie started, we had to wait for quite some time and i started to panic and thought that we were in the wrong cinema hall. But we saw people that we know around us so i didn't say anything.

(side-unrelated-note: my fake eyelashes felt super itchy and i had to take them off :( so much for finally wearing fake eyelashes out and taking them out at an event. lol)

Then the stars came to our cinema to say 'Hi' and stuff. haha. i think Pamelyn Chee looks super pretty in real life as well (; And Irene Ang was also very funny too.

Sorry for the lousy picture guys, but i was scared that security would take my camera away or something. lol.

Review of Prefect Rivals
There are some scenes where i think were quite funny but overall, i took quite some time to know what's going on in the beginning because it kinda was jumping scenes from the past to the future and it's like only at the middle then you'll get it. Plus, a lot of the scenes were quite random.

The characters probably lacked depth and personally, i would like them to be developed more then scratching the surface of their personality.

So... i don't know about you but there are many times where i feel insecure about my looks. And not only that, i am easily affected by how people view and talk about me.

Time and time again, i'll look at super models and feel, "wow, why can't i be tall?", "why can't i be more photogenic", "MY GOD! is she even real? she looks like a doll!".

Or how about when i happen to hear some gossip about myself and i would want to poke around just to know what they say about me.

or when im at work and someone will compare and tell me that i'm not good enough.

yupp, that happens to me quite a lot.

It makes me insecure.

Again and again, i tell myself that it's okay. I dont need to be like them. I just have to do my best.

But sometimes it just isn't enough.

But i'm very grateful to my friends who are always there to support me. and a God who i know cares for me. They are the ones help me through all these insecurities.

I'm happy to being me. I'm glad i'm not photocopied from someone else. I'm elated that because i'm me that i've friends who care for me. My dear is in love with me because im unique. I got to where I am because I believed in myself and not someone else.

And... "Who says im not beautiful? Who says im not prefect? Who says you're not worth it?"

Because these standards are given by other people but hey, you don't have to live by these standards but live by your own standards and morals.

I'm not going to let these insecurities to ruin my life. i thank it for i've become stronger.

A'Famosa M'sia Xmas/20 decembers trip Day 1 (;

20 Decembers

20 December happens to be the time where Dear and me will celebrate our anniversary time together (; it's our 4th year together!

This year, his dad wanted to go to A' Famosa, Msia, and asked us if we wanted to go from 21-24 dec :D So we thought, why not have a simple celebration on the 20th instead since i'm going along with his family overseas?

While waiting for dear at his house, i thought why not cam whore. LOL.

So on 20 decembers, we went to watch Tron Legacy at the new Serangoon Nex. I didn't really like the show except for the special effects that it has. Story line was like so-so only (-.-).

Btw, Dear bought me a iTouch 4! i'm super touched!! i didn't think much of Apple things because i thought i didn't need it. But with this, i'm a apple fan. Thank you dear!! i love you!! (BTW, to show you how much i love it, this whole post's pics are taken with the iTouch. may not be the best quality though :/)

I actually got him an iPad (he's a apple fantic) but i didn't have the money to pay everything so most of it is paid by his mom. Going to buy him a new pair of slippers for him too since he's old one is dying.

We walked around the shopping mall for awhile and went to buy gifts since we were going to meet our frens for a mini-xmas celebration.

The food was awesome!! He even baked a log cake by himself for us! totally awesome.

However, this year as we met up together, our gift exchange was a little different... We had a piece of paper and had to split the paper in two sections. On the right side of the paper, we were suppose to draw something to give a clue about our gift and on the left side of the paper we were suppose to write a task for that person to do. You would have to do the task and guess the item correctly before able to get the gift!

I couldn't think of any task therefore i wrote something simple: "Please help to clean up after we eat!"

So the paper is then mixed and given out at random. We can look at our paper but then if all decided that they wanted to change, we will could change.

The first task that i've received was "eat toilet paper!" my eyes went (0.0) and immediately i was like "LET'S CHANGE PAPERS!!" Good thing the rest were okay with that and we changed again.

phew... So in the end i got this task where i'm suppose to do funny photos with my face and not only that, they have to laugh. (WHICH I FAILED QUITE BADLY) talk about pressure, lol. i would love to put it on my blog but the pictures are not with me. Seriously i think they were super accommodating to my task because some either fake laugh or Jia Wei would try to help me by helping to think of poses. THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS!

P.S: Cheng How had the task with the toliet paper one; which he bravely went ahead and do it. Daryl had to eat a bowl of parsley which was horrible! Mei Man had to make tomato juice with her bare hands and drink it. Jia Wei got my task which was clean up. Adrian had to hold a chicken bone in his mouth and he had to pursuade the 2 people from his left and right to do the same thing and stand on a chair and take a photo.

What a night!

A'Famosa Trip Day 1

Fast forward to next day! We went to A'FAMOSA!! it's the first time that i've went there, so i was really excited for it! (:

We actually went into m'sia in the late afternoon since the check in time was 4pm! By the time that we've reached there, we were hungry and went to out first place in A'Famosa. The Cow Boy Theme Park!!

Daryl's dad bought this picture for RM18. Once we went in, without warning they gave us some cowboy hats and then put that parrot on me! In fact they even gave us guns. I wonder if it is to kill the parrot? LOL.

It was actually quite rundown. But there was this show that lasted for 3 hours++ so after eating there, we went to the show.

First off is the Red Indian Show. They were dancing their tribal dances and playing with fire.

It was quite interesting actually. Especially when they brought two audiences down to their stage to participate in their routine.

First off they had to do a simple dance like thing waving the fire stick (?) around. Then they were suppose to do the "eleh.eleh.eleh." kind of shout that Red Indians do. It was so funny because both of them were girls and they didn't really have the courage and stamina to do it as well. Lastly they were actually told to EAT fire (since the red indians could do it too). Of course both of them were scared. The girl kept shaking her head saying that she didn't dare to do it. the Red Indian helping her had to force her forehead facing the sky so that she could eat the fire. So there was another red indian holding the fire stick and slowing bringing it down towards her. BUT just when it was reaching her, they quickly removed the fire stick and 'ate' the fire themselves.

After that, they did some more tribal dances before the event ended.

We waited at the area for about 30minutes more since the next animal parade was starting. It was actually more than a animal parade as many dancers came out as well!

Clowns came out as well. But they are not your normal clowns. they are like Joker from Batman. "Why so serious?"

These guys came out in trishaws as well. My gosh, it was a guy with i-dont-know what is stuff underneath his chest. i reckon that it's 2 watermelons! lol.

In fact that guy had a comrade and they were dancing the night away! lol.

New York Skin + Marche + Candlelight

New York Skin Solutions? I don't like you.

My mom actually saw them at a road show and thought "why not try out their facials since it's advertised on the TV?" So she bought my sis and i some promotional facial try outs.

So my sis and i went to Vivo City's branch, feeling happy that we're trying out their services. After all, it's advertised so much on TV, with so many people saying that it helped their skin etc etc.

But boy, weren't we disappointed!

Okay, here how it goes as with a lot of other facial outlets.

They bring you to a room and then do some skin scanning and then tell you how your skin is bad etc etc. They look at your occupation to gauge your 'budget' and then suggest the most expensive package they think you can afford. (i know this because when i was sitting at the lobby, i heard them 'whispering' like how i was a 18 year old student and didn't wanted to do my facial (-.-)) Anyway, if you tell them 'no', they'll go to lower package or try to give you free stuff along with the package to try to let you feel better. (After all, Singaporeans LOVE discounts!) After much pressurizing, some may actually sign the package while some may not. I'm the latter.

So the person talking to me gave me a dirty look and walked out of the room. Of course her tone is still professional and all but she made me feel like i did the worst thing ever. she didn't even say like "okay, please wait for a while." or like "please follow me". She just left me there in the room alone!! I felt quite awkard in the room so i walked out to sit at the lobby. After awhile then she came to attend to me and bring me to some room.

Normally, those that i go to (for basic facial), will have cleansing, extraction, mask and sometimes some massage. Since the ticket that my mom bought was like a basic facial there, i expected that it would be like all the basic facials I've done at other brands. BUT NO!

They had some simple cleansing BUT NO EXTRACTION!! i mean like come on lah! NO EXTRACTION?! then my face still got pimples or blackhead then you want to put mask on me?! Wont it render it useless?

Anyway, i don't know why i don't have extraction but i didn't voice out anything since i didn't go to New York skin solution before. I thought maybe they followed some other procedure there. Later, they just put some mask on me then it's finished. -.-

Thank goodness i didn't buy your basic facial package that you wanted to sell to me then! If not, i would be super disappointed in what I've bought. i rather go to other brands that i went before and buy from them.

Later i asked my sis on how it went. She also said it didn't meet her expectations at all. She had extraction but it didn't went for long - like less than a minute. (normally it takes more than that!). After that, she called mom and told her not to go to New York anymore since it's services weren't good.

Side Story: My sis told me that when she was doing her facial, she could hear the conversation in another room. It was the (probably a very rich) customer was asking about their Christmas promotion which was something like $6888 package or something. Then the person giving her facial said what her skin is bad in this area and that area then asked her sign on a package of $10,000! ($.$) Which in the end the customer agreed!!

I'm starting to think that they only have good services to people who buy their super expensive packages.

Aiya, that day my make up should be nicer since it's a wedding event!! but after that i actually have work (keep on reading) so i had to have a bare face with only foundation on (-.-*) and hidden eyeliner. I was so tempted to put on eye shadows and blusher on to have more colour but decided against it since i had to bring makeup remover out then.

'The Ultimate Winner' Movie - Non-Speaking Role Experience!

I'm so happy and thankful that i managed to have a non-speaking role (aka waitress) in a upcoming local movie called ''The Ultimate Winner". Starring 阿哥李南星 Li Nan Xing as a actor and Debut director!

i was actually SMS-ed by my agency a few hours earlier to go for the audition. i rushed to the place which was quite scary because it was an unfamiliar place for me. In fact, i cabbed there! But thank God that i managed to get the role in the end. Couldn't take any pictures there though since there was this big sign saying no pictures are allowed.

When i went in, i was quite nervous. In my mind i was thinking "okay, linn, remember to introduce your name, company and calm down!!". In fact, my nervousness increased when i realized that there were more agencies that were sending their talents down. However, in the end the audition lasted less than 10 minutes and i was out of the place thinking what really happened. haha.

So a few days later, i got an notice from my agency saying that i got chosen! So happy that i was smiling to myself non-stop after that. Well, i know it's like a super tiny role (probably less than 2 sec of screen time?) but i knew that there was a opportunity to meet Li Nan Xing. i may not be a super fan of him but the thought a meeting a actor just perks me up. Plus i watched his dramas since i came to Singapore.

Anyway, on the day of filming, i met quite a lot of other people from my own agency as well. Got along with Jason who is a malaysian chinese in Singapore. I think the reason why we got along is because both of us are the 'waiter/waitress' there!

Anyway, like i was saying in this post earlier, i didn't put make up on because the people there were going to help me put it on. (all these events happen on the same day) It was suppose to be a 'super natural' make up so in the end they just put more foundation and a bit of mascara. and they styled my hair in the most weird way. (*note to self: never ever do it that way! you'll look super old) + according to jason, they styled his hair in a weird way as well. Anyway, both of us are not complaining since we knew it fit the role that we were portraying.

I retook my section like 10 times! i think they are super detailed in everything which is good. i'm glad to see the amount of effort put in this movie. they were telling me things like "you have to walk faster" on the first take or "don hit onto the side of the table" etc etc.

All in all, i'm really grateful for this experience!

P.S: wanted to take photo with li nan xing but he seemed like he was so into his role that i didn't dare to ask.

Facebook Issues + movie review (RED + Megamind)

Facebook issues

It is always my personal policy to NOT accept friends on facebook that i don't know.

the reasons are simple: i am not interested to know what you're doing. it will be just like spam mail on my facebook.

In fact, it seems weird for me to add someone who i don't know. i know Facebook is suppose to be a networking website. Still, i rather not add strangers. For all you know they be stalkers and take your picture and photoshop it with those weird naked bodies -.- OR they may turn you to be a zombie! (sorry been playing left for dead on wii, haha)

Movies review: RED + Megamind)

i am not a fan of movies in cinemas but my dear is! So we would always argue if we should watch a movie! seriously, even if he say he is paying, i'll still argue and try not to watch it. i dont think it's worth it to watch it on the big screen. i think i'll only go to the movies to watch them only when i like the movie trailer a lot!! (p.s: i love movies; but i dont like going to the cinema to watch it)

RED Review:

my gosh. i love this show. the first 10 minutes may not have a lot of action but it sets the background of the movie + BRUCE WILLIS is in this movie!! i am now a fan of bruce willis after this movie. He just has this cool element to him. (after all he is an action movie star)

Once the first 10 minutes of were gone, it's action all the way! i was basically glued to the screen watching each scene unfold. i think my favourite scene has to be when Bruce stepped out of the police car while it was still turning, but the car didn't hit him at all. :D

Anyway the story is about a retired FBI, Bruce Willis (thus the title RED = Retired. (but) Extremely Dangerous) who falls in love but then someone is targeting him. Sounds cheesy? well, the movie has just the right amount of action and humor in my opinion!

Loved it. 4.3/5

Megamind's review

Well, it was suppose to quite a twist as the bad guy becomes the good guy in the end. But well, i dont feel like staying on my seat and watch every scene.

i like the freshness of the idea of this movie though. At least it's unique. not some damsel in distress that is going to be saved by a prince.

all in all, will give it 3.5/5 for being a unique film!

AFA X (2010) - Cosplay | Serah Farron | KANAME☆

AFA X! i waited for this event for like forever! Because i was itching to cosplay since Cosfest (in June) but couldn't rush my costume in time. (& well, plus Kaname was going to be there! )

I planned to cosplay Serah Farron since March. she's a character who is cute and mature in her own way. SO, this AFA X, i finally did Serah (;

Serah farron from Final Fantasy 13. haix, whenever i see this pic, i will start to think "i need braces!!"

i've been an airhead lately :/ blur sotong if you want to put it. but i prefer how my boyfriend says it "you're the highest grade of blur sotong because it's suppose be nicer". i was like "really?" and he gave me this look -.-

Well, the reason why im saying im a sotong is because i almost forgot AFA X was coming. so the week before AFA X, i rushed all the small details like the wig, the bandage, the bracelet (which is done by miyuki, cos i dont have the time to do it), socks (my mom actually helped me on this) etc. i literally couldn't sleep well because i was worrying if i could rush everything off. which i kinda did. BUT the small details are still not exact. tsk. going to redo it before STGCC/EOY.

(; BUT I DIDNT GET TO SEE HIM AT ALL (T.T) why? he was inside the hall for a big amount of time. & too many fans around him. haix :(

and i cant believe that i actually saw him last year and i wasnt like gaga over his cosplay... i wasnt even a fan, didnt even know his cosplays then. i only saw him on stage and i was like "wow, not bad. nice costume" and then i walked away to the other booths in the hall. *slaps foreheads* haix, it's only this year when i started to know more about him from my friends and saw his delication to cosplay (and man, he's like extreme lah! he'll actually diet a female diet to do a feminine character-to lose his muscles & get nicer curves) then i decided that i liked his cosplay. and he's good at it!

Yes, I'm back blogging because i have more time.

So, i attended a Loreal Event recently. Coordinated with Reebonz.

I woke up late and didn't have time to put on makeup! (T.T) i thought i might as well don't because since they were going to teach makeup skills/tips.

i've only have foundation and light eye brow pencil on.

I made a friend called Cythnia there! She's super nice (: Anyw, I learnt a lot! So i might as well share some tips that i've learnt there to you. But i will be posting it separately on another website which is my new online spree/wholesale blogshop called InspireRunway. This section will be up and running soon!

Anyway, back to the topic, it was held at this super nice place called Alcova. We got to eat their food there too, and it was delicious!

hi guys, the topic of the day that i want to talk about is Cyber bullying.

Okay, normally i don't say much about it but recently it's been irking me. Not personally but as i see some of the people that i love get it, i thought i want to talk about it.

Let's turn back the clock. it's probably started once internet was widely available. Many people would start to have "secret" identities by using fake names and using pictures that aren't their own.

Look, i'm not say that using a fake name is bad especially on the internet. sometimes, i get it that you want to protect yourself by not telling the world who you are or for whatever reason.

But when you're putting on a mask with that name and hurting people, i think that draws the line.

It scares me that people that could be your best friend or someone close would and could do it. It's as if they have a split personality. outside, they are people that you can trust, but behind close doors they are the ones, using different accounts to attack and judge you with hurtful words like "You're fat and ugly.." and blah blah.

It's as though they feel that it's right to misuse the internet to put down a person. and for what? jealousy? envy? pride?

Now how about those people that you don't even know and are attacking you? For whatever reason that i cannot fathom, it's as putting you down makes they feel that they are smarter or better than you.

Many people do it. Just go to youtube.com and you'll see lots of it.

I don't know why they do it. BUT don't you think that it shouldn't be done? if the tables are turned, and you're the one getting it, how would you feel? especially you know that most of it, whatever that they have said or claim, isn't true.

Constructive criticism is one thing but when you're delibrating or not deliberating putting down someone with words, it can kill that person from the inside. It spoils frienship, it breeds manipulation.

Okay, i gotta admit, i do stereotype and judge people. In fact, if you think about it, everyone does it everyday. When i go on the street, I can look at bunch of people that look "dangerous", i would walk away. When I see someone wearing Armani or Gucci, i'll probably think that they have a lot money. This is why, when you go for interviews, a lot of the first impression is based on your appearance.

But again, why do people go to the extreme to hurt that person, especially more on the internet? It's as if they feel that being on the internet and judging people harshly is righteous since that person doesn't know that you've done it. Why don't you shout your words to them in real life? I bet most of you wont do it.

Recently i learnt that judgment is suppose to be righteous and merciful. But who are we to judge? we are all imperfect people. I'm not saying that you can't have your opinions but hurting someone is wrong.

If you read this, and think that internet is made to put someone down, then just you wait, because one day karma will come back to you (:

i just watched karate kid! i love it to bits :D btw jaden smith is 11! and Jaden's acting is awesome man. just the right amount of humour and action that i find this 2 hours movie ending too fast to my taste! it's definitely a "MUST-WATCH"! HAHA.

i'll rate it 4.5/5!

seriously if you think this show is only action, you're wrong! i keep laughing throughout the show. :D

anyway, although i dont really love justin bieber but he sang one of the songs for karate kid. and you got to admit, the last few seconds of the video with jaden looking innocent was so funny. haha. P.S:Finally jb doesn't sing about love! it's kinda like a miracle yeah?

hi all, the question that you may ask "why are you not blogging anymore?"

this is my blog. this is where i write what i go through so that one day i can look back. this is especially so when im feeling down or im going through something, i'll tend to look back at my post and think "hey, it's only for a moment, it'll be over before you know it!"

Now, i cant upload pictures from my camera! like i said in the previous entry, i lost my connecting cable (pathetic, i know) and all my pictures are all in there. For me, i like to put pictures with my post since pictures paints a thousand words more than what i can write.

So, i wont be blogging until i can upload my pictures.

Another reason i'm not going to blog is because yes, i do have a life as well. i'm busy with school work and projects outside.

How to train your dragon Review

i went to watch "how to train your dragon" in 3D with daryl today (:

[may contain a tad of spoilers]

At first i thought it was not a good movie, but then, when i saw the review (which mostly said it was good), i persuaded daryl to watch this instead of alice in wonderland.

and im glad i did (:

How can you say no to this?! it totally feels like a pet dog.

it's so cute! the dragon that is (; throughout the whole movie, i keep saying "so cute" to daryl.

the story line is okay (but predictable at times) i guess, but im not impressed with the 3D effects. it had little or close to none cool 3D effects.

It's about a unlikely hero that saves the day, (seems like almost a lot of movies are that way nowadays) making friendships with an unlikely creature, that the whole village hates, and finds that its cute and loyal, and well, obviously he'll try to convince his people that dragons are harmless.

In between though, there are hilarious and cute moments that i enjoy or else, I'll definitely rate this movie down. im glad that throughout the whole movie, you'll find yourself laughing.

i kinda like the ending though, since the hero kinda got hurt when trying to save the day. (hey im not sadist or something, but hey, how many heros in the movie will actually get hurt when they do something crazy to save the day?) it's kinda practical when compared to those other movies.

overall, a good movie if not watched in 3D. A nice movie for you to relax and laugh. not worth it to watch in 3D though. (haha, but daryl paid for the tickets! thanks dear (; )

ratings: (my opinion)

NON-3D: 7/10
3D: 5.5/10

P.S: on a side note, it seems like directors are just having the "3D" option to get money, it seems like i dont see much effort in this 3D stuff, since its just the new "in" thing for people to choose.

Do you have a goal, a vision, something that you would strive hard for?

these few days, i've been thinking about this... In my life, i strive to do a lot of things. In my heart, i want to a lot of them. Some of them i've already taken a step to learn it. Some not. but regardless if i did or not, ONE QUESTION comes after it, "is it my passion? "

My interest has all along been towards the media, entertainment and creative side. Even my hobbies, are deemed "weird" by people here. Cosplay. i love it for the fact, you can act, you can be creative, you can pose for pictures, you write your own story with that character. Everything that i want to be.

Yet, what am i doing now? I'm studying Business Studies for goodness sake! I'm been thinking if i should actually change courses. Yet i don't know if i should.

Dilemma, always kills, doesn't it?

"then why did you choose business studies in the first place?" you ask. Good question. A question that i long forgot the answer.

Perhaps it was then when i aspire to be rich when i heard motivating stories from entrepreneurs who are successful in what they do. and i remembered how they could do charity work, how they did it, how they etc etc.

But i know in my heart, business may not be for me.

Perhaps, i was young then and thinking that a "stable" income was the most ideal choice.

But the truth is, I DONT KNOW.

But my heart still dreams on. still dreams of what i want to do. still longs to do stuff that she loves. still holds on the simple child-like faith that in time it may happen.

i'm going to be 18 this year, and i know the clock is still ticking on, with me thinking of all the possibilities that will come. I'm not going to lie, i do worry. don't you? thinking if this is the path that God wants me to take.

business? sure, i don't mind, it could be exciting, it could be fun. i don't know because i never really tried. But is it my passion?

hell, no. (at least for now i know it's not)

i want to be a writer, i want to be a dramatist, i want to be a host, i want to be a model, i want to do something non-business-like.

Sure, you can mock, you can laugh. you can say "don't we all want to be that?"

I'll smile, because perhaps it may be a far fetch dream, but its something that i plan to at least try on all the doors of opportunity before my passion, my heart withers.

Till then, im not going to live life with regrets

Because we all know, life is too short to be filled with regrets.

At the end of the day, i want to at least proudly say "I've tried to achieve my dream"

Now, wouldn't you want that too?

Where are all your childhood dreams? are they all erased by the eraser called "reality"?

Mine are still in me. therefore i cant help but want to try.

So im going to take chances, fall, and come back up again, not alone. But with all those who i know i can count on.

i cant believe that I'm back to blogging because of this. But my heart is beating so fast that i cant help but to blog and get it off my chest.

FINAL FANTASY 13 is finally out :D (yea, quite some time ago, but i only know it recently!) and the characters are FAB! Ultra Cool female protagonist - lightning!

damn awesome :D

And thus because of this, i want to cosplay FF13!

Im going to cosplay Serah Farron!

Reason being, (a) im a noob cosplayer -.- (cosplaying lightning is too hard for me too pull off.) (b) love how Serah has a sweet composure which is easier to do then lightning which has a long past. (c) it has a tint of goth (d) i have the excuse to get those cool shoes which i can wear somewhere else =p

Saying all that, im going to save (after A&B) for it, which should be in time for the end of year event. BUT then again, i cant attend cosfest this year which i feel so.... haix.

i think i'll start looking for team mates to do FF13, since this is it'll be more fun. most importantly i want to find someone who is willing to do lightning with me (:

So sorry that i haven't been updating my blog due to overwhelming projects flowing in and my new blogshop that is going to start soon! i just took the pictures for it yesterday, so hoping that it'll turn out well (; But anyway, never late then never to blog yeah? haha, i realised i have so many things to blog about that i dont know where to start...

but well, i'll start with EOY (; i woke up that day, LATE! haha, but then i didn't rush anything because i didnt want to destroy any makeup or especially my wig. so i took a cab down to bugis. Once i went down there alone (sad isnt it?), i tried to find my cosplay friends there. which i couldnt :( So i became thick-skinned and decided to start taking pictures with all the cos-ers.

the first one that i saw was NATSU! (from Fairy Tail, which is what i've been watching recently) so i went to ask to take photo with him. haha, but unfortunately since i was alone, i had to ask some of his friends to help us take. haha.

and his partner, Gray!

and well, that's basically how i randomly met the rest that you'll see:

i took with this "L" on the evelator.. then there was some people who were so nice to take it for us! haha

but well, i met stanman there (;

he was cos-ing as mokuro dokuro from KHR which i feel that it's very good. aiyah, he's just one of those better cosplayers in SG. haha, well, i know him (since he's kinda famous in the cosplay world here) but i dont think he knows me. haha, this is what happened -

Stanman suddenly stops and says to me: "hey still remember me?"
linn looks and frowns: "sorry you are..?"
Stanman thinks and says "stanman"
linn starts to be happy cos she meets a good cosplayer and wanted a picture with him (which he took with me (; )

somehow, i think he thinks that im some other cosplayer that he knows.. haha, but i hope i can cosplay with him one day.. :D

after that i took a cab to church wearing that blond wig, and all my "costume". cool yeah? but well, i was debating if i should go because of what i was wearing because i was having a headache :/ but in the end i went and took many photos with the cg and took photo with SUN HO (AN INTERNATIONAL POP SINGER)! (; though i was cut off from the pic ;( No cookies for those who can spot where i was.

hello (; MERRY CHRISTMAS! (LOL,Im so late but well, im still in the xmas spirit)

Anyway, recently on the 23 Dec, i organized a mini-party with the 10 :D unfortunately rui jia was unable to come :/ but anyway i gotten the party idea from Cheng How, so thank you! plus the log cake was baked by him! It's totally great and later did i realize that there was actually alcohol in it.

Daryl helped in preparing (Of course, since I'm unable to cook! but hey, in my defense, i can bake?) the food and stuff. so we went to NTUC the day before to get all the groceries.

we also had gift exchange. it was supposed to be random between the 9 of us, but somehow sharlene and me exchanged our gifts with each other. i gotten Merci chocolates :D while she gotten my bangle and a thumb drive (; hope you liked it Shar!

hello (; i just spent 3 years with daryl recently (;

Never could i imagine that we could last so long when we first started out. but throughout the months and years that we spent together, i feel that it can be a reality. 3 years, we had our fair share of quarrels but i think it only made us stronger. and it true because we're very honest with each other so when we do quarrel, we only understand each other more. Haha, now i can know what daryl is thinking just by actions. of course i dont know all but some of his mundane habits i got it down. :D

My sweet dear, we went through thick and thin, and i love you from the bottom of my heart (; sometimes i feel that 24 hrs a day is not enough when im with you.

So on our very special day, originally daryl was planning for it, but some situations came up... so haha, we need to change of plans. but well, like what daryl said "as long we're together it doesnt matter as much" so we went to Cafe Cartel to eat (;

love my dear and his iPhone too. haha, been playing games on it.. Tap Tap revenge is one of my fav!

personally didnt really like the macaroni so much which was what i was eating but liked the sausage from daryl's plate. haha, so i kinda "ga pok" from him. haha and daryl paid for it (;

after that we went to shop for my gift. Originally, daryl wanted to have i think so called 10 small gifts due to the song "on the first day of xmas, santa gave to me...." but well, i found out and didnt want him to spend so much money so i suggested that i can pick out my own gifts and he agreed (;

these were some thing that i wanted for quite some time. totally love the highlighter from Shiseido !

and this is what i got him beforehand (; a vest and a scarf.. something that he wanted for some time too. haha

after that we went to watch avatar that day! totally love it :D love and fav it!

hence, my Christmas-cum-avatar inspired nails that i did the next day! and yes, i painted it myself (;

came back, make up a bit smudgey and all but im too happy to care haha

i went to watch NEW MOON for 2 times (; lol. NO, im not some fangirl of twilight. it's just that i watched it the first time with vk, jm, liting, anvis then half way i gotta rush off somewhere. so i watched the second time with daryl. haha.

my take: LOVE THE SPECIAL EFFECTS and the scenery (; well, thank God, this is SG not Hollywood! cos fangirls will be screaming there! IN SG, there was the occasional "WOOO!" for the jacob and edward scenes. haha. but i think the storyline is a bit too "cut" especially in the beginning... personally i dont read the books but when i see a movie i want to know the whole picture. in the movie, it's leaving me a bit confused. all well, this movie is definitely more for fans. i prefer the jacob and bella scenes though. because somehow i feel there's more chemistry of them. poor jacob, unable to get bella. sometimes i feel that bella is like making use of jacob. HAHA. whatever... not going to be a fan of the twilight yet. haha.

after the movie with daryl, dear was like " not a good show to invest in =.=, but the wolves looked cute." HAHA. and i agreed, it so furry and big, makes me want to hug it with all my strength (; and i continued ranting on the movie to him...

at some point, if i was going to be a "twilight" character, definietly want to be part of the werewolf family, because when they change to that wolf, it looks so cute (;

when i asked daryl this question, he answered:

anyway for those who want to learn how to apply makeup or the eyeshadows etc, go to youtube and search for "michelle pham". personally i love her style of videos and her make up skills. plus, she's asian. thus, her eyes are more like ours. Caucasian eyes are different from us. therefore it's good to learn from someone online who is an asian (;

gotten a D on a DSS (aka excel) PROJECT! i cant believe it. i was really really disappointed. i want a good GPA this time round, so getting a D is a no-no. luckily it's only 20% of the whole subject but i feel that... i could have done better.

Singapore places a lot of emphasis on studies. no wonder it's well-known around the world. it's good. i like the education system. but there are times where i just want to breakdown and just think that studies arent that important. look at bill gates. isnt he an classic example?

aiyah, but what's done is done. im not going to dwell on it. just gotta keep doing better. :D

Went out with Gel yesterday to Orchard! got to see all the Xmas lights. More than that, we watched 2012!

my take on it: well, quite a lot of special effects. but the storyline is quite predictable. however overall, you will be stuck on your seat for like 2hrs filled with excitment about what they'll do. it's amazing as inbetween the scenes, you might just start to think about life. haha, the special effects were good and a little bit of humor here and there. i think i'll give it 4/5 LOL.

was kind of disappointed with the lights at orchard this year. maybe cos this yr the santas and reindeer looks weird? i dont know it looks that way to me... but nevertheless i still took some photos with them (;

LET THE RANT ON BLOGSHOPS BEGIN!

okay, what is wrong with so many blogshops? recently i've been shopping online, and sometimes i feel it's either (a) no professionalism (b)or super long waiting time to get replied.

yes, yes, i understand that most of the people who start a blogshop have no experience or dont even know what is professionalism. (im not claiming that i have it all of that stuff, but at least i have an idea and is still in the process of learning it in my Business course)

Isnt blogshops suppose to be like a SHOP? shouldnt they know that if they want loyal customers to keep coming they gotta go the extra mile? it's so irritating because since everything is done through emails, when something goes wrong in the transaction, they take so so much LONGER to reply!

please, it's not just a business, it's about building relationships with your customers too. even though everything is done behind a screen, if you're sincere and nice, we can feel it too. because im telling you, no matter how nice your stuff is or how cheap, im not going back to your blogshop. and i mean NEVER.

Also, blogshops, can you please keep a record of what your customer buys? it'll be so much better. i hate it when my clothes are not instock and are in backorder and i've to wait for it to be shipped, and when i ask like one to two weeks later "Can i know where is my clothes? have they arrived?." And i keep getting this "sorry, which clothes are you talking about? (from what collection?)" i mean if im a regular customer and keep buying a lot of backorder stuff, and you're confused of what im referring to, sure, im okay with that. but im a first time customer buying from your shop and i only bought one shirt AND you're telling me that you dont know?

yes, yes, you have a lot of customers and stuff. AND this is what i meant (or at least what im trying to put across) too many blogshops lack that "extra mile service". and why is that? i dont understand. In real life, they know all that stuff but when they are doing it themselves ONLINE, everything seems to disappear? is it because we're living in an IT world where you dont get to see your customers face to face?

alright, like i was saying in my other post, im sick :/ had diarrhea for 2 days, now im losing my voice due to the couth that im having. ARGH.

My phone died on me. DOUBLE ARGH. because of that last week when i wasnt able to go to school, it was really difficult for me to contact my frens. Now, im rushing my school work. and hopefully able to complete my excel hw! excel is so difficult :/

all in all, kind of a bad week but well like they say, if old things dont go away, how can new things come? (*Direct translation from chinese)

SO, now i've a new phone! not a super great model but well, i like it (; wanted the pinkish-purple one though but didnt have that colour anymore ;( so i went ahead to buy the black one, chic business phone i guess? LG KS360. i think the term for these kind of phones are "webslides". HAHA.

hmm, i just cut my hair too! (; well, it used to be like this:

basically, my phone's dead. cant contact anyone.
having a super bad diarrhea and today when i went to school, i came all the way back home because the pain was in bearable.

NOW, i've miss 2 DSS classes. shoots. how am i going to know what to do for excel? MAEC lesson :/ and POA lesson. AHHHHHH... a lot of catching up to do.

will elaborate more when i reach home. Now going out, with the pain still intact, to try to solve my phone problem.

Well, that was specially made for the halloween party as a game 0.0 thank God i prepared the food so i didnt need to join it. my gosh, i feel like vomiting when i was preparing everything. AND I WASNT EVEN THE ONE PREPARING MOST OF IT. most of you know i cant cook, and i'll make a mess at the kitchen, so i asked dear to come over to help me (; he can cook, i cant (;

On a side note, when daryl was resting.. hehe.. i tried painting his nails.

BUT well, he realised, so i had to take it off afterwards ;(

argh, a bit blurry. i wore a simple cosplayXgothic-inspired look. i took the MRT to expo though. so generally people are staring but well, who cares, just plug in to my MP3 and all else doesnt matters. haha, i wanted to take it to the extreme with my wig, fake blood but i think the MRT people might just not let me in. can anyone guess WHO/WHAT i was trying to do?

i was trying to go for the olden england look x vampire. it looked better with my olden gothic hat. but i took it off half way because i had to play some game :0 haha, failed i guess. haha

okay, i love my lectures/tutors this time round. they have more personality :D good! :D i love my class, we only have 13 people (; it was great to go to this class in the end. double good (: thank God for a good sem ahead!

on a random note, cant put make up properly when i go to school for some reason. i think cos somewhere in my head is "tone down everything!" because i wanna go for a fresh/ natural look. but well, it's not as nice as normal i think... hmmm... but normally, im just super lazy to wear any to school. so i guess that is the most natural, well, of course well equipped with PANDA EYES! that would explain very well why i'm actually writing this in the middle of the night.

OH on a random fashion note, HOW COME PEOPLE ARE WEARING TIGHTS AS PANTS?! 0.0 IT WASNT MEANT TO BE WORN THAT WAY. (at least that is what i think) tights are tights. i saw at least 3 people wearing it as pants today. it's supposed to be like a "fashion accessory" worn underneath something. (again, let me emphasize that this is my opinion) but it looks weird as pants right? i asked my sis and she was like saying people who wear it as pants are as though they are going out in their sleep wear. hmmm... clothes for thought. haha.

A FEW WEEKS LATER...

OKAY OKAY, LET'S STOP THIS DREAM RIGHT HERE!

firstly i've learnt it is definitely not easy to be a model. in fact, it's going to be double on me because i'm a petite model. if you know me in real life, i'm really not that tall. THEREFORE, to get on a cover of a magazine or a top model is no easy feat!

i salute all those models out there right now!

Yet, i love the adrenaline that comes with this package. when you're on set, you'll somehow feel alive and it's nice to get pointers on your angles and stuff.

this is a story of how an average girl who just wants to try out something different.(seriously if you know me from secondary school, you'll know who much i "choing" in my studies, how much i dont really care about my image at school, and dont like to have much attention. i was basically what you guys would label as nerd. but of course when im outside i like to dress up. but well, in fact, even now, i like to keep low profile at school :D) anyway, i first loved photo shoots because of my cosplay. it's really fun yet tiring at the same time!

for those that are more observant, you'll see in my description on the right ----->

well, of course i'm concentrating now more on the business side of me because i like that too (;

I'm working on my portfolio right now, I've received the photos, will post some of them soon!

P.S: i actually wanted to elaborate more but well, why not just get straight to the point? :p

of course if you aspire to do something about their life, be it modeling, singing, dancing, be a millionaire in one min etc, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. dont sit around and think that just like in the movies something magical will say "hey i think you have the talent why don't you join ABCXXX " Right... in life it doesnt always happen like that. and you should know. work hard and preserve is really crucial in anything that you want to do (: (of course about the millionaire thing, i think that you may have to work harder at that!)

hello :D i know i was going to post up what i promised you guys to post. but well, i've gotten quite busy. so today we'll be a short update instead.

1. im going to start a new BLOGSHOP soon! i'll be modeling for it and well, im just a co-founder of it. so i've been sending emails back and forth to my supplier asking questions about quality and all those stuff. THUS, im going to exclusively import stuff from JAPAN, KOREA, and TAIWAN. i want my blogshop to be different from the others, so im trying to get items that you cant get from Singapore. but well, everything is still in the midst of discussion so this blogshop may not even happen. so praying that everything will be okay :D

2. went to nixi's 21st birthday :D HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY NIXI! TODAY'S YOUR BIRTHDAY! :D :D i love you, and i've learnt a lot a lot from you. thank you for being such an awesome awesome leader!

3. heard the zone is having a Halloween party! so looking forward to it :D maybe because it reminds me so much of canada. i remember that everyone will just walk around the neighbourhood to say "TRICK or TREAT!". and i think the costumes are really fabulous. somehow i got the feeling like singapore will never have that kind of scenario because people would be throwing candy wrappers everywhere and dont think the parents would actually allow their kids go out way past midnight. BUT i think it should be in singapore :D we'll get to know our neighbours more and get to meet new people. *sigh* but of course i think it still wont happen cos (a) what if there was kidnappers? (b) what if it becomes crazy and people open their doors and there are robbers? OKAY, maybe im thinking to much. HAHA.

4. yes, i think i'll be cosplaying rukia soon :D but i think only for photoshoot. haha, but im not going to cosplay the normal death god version. :D

5. i got into drama! HAHA, but well, i've been quite late in blogging this.

trip to GENTING!

Okay, I have a lot to post about! Sorry for the late updates because I was busy preparing
(1) The pictures for the cosplay for rima and utau
(2) some company stuff
(3) also I just received my portfolio pics not long ago. So preparing what to post for that too!
So to make it up, here’s a long post :D

I went with esther for karaoke a few days ago! It was funny because there was only the 2 of us yet we sang for like 3 hours!
Well, we went the the karaoke room and treated it as though we were at home!

Well, naturally I’ll sing more of English songs because I can’t read Chinese that well! My Chinese seriously needs to be improved! But overall I had fun there :D love the sound system and the touch screen song choosing thing. It feels as though the TV was a huge iPhone because it moves the same way as it.

ALSO I WENT TO GENTING, malaysia WITH DARYL AND HIS FAMILY :D
i couldn't sleep the day before! :/ was kinda excited that i could go on a holiday even if it's only genting. so i woke up in the middle of the night to do this!

Anyway,his dad drove us there which was great because it only took 4 and half hours to reach there! But well, I had to wake up at 5.30AM! so well, I think we were all quite tired on the car.

Ate A & W at the resting spot! It’s saddening that it is no longer in Singapore! I love their coke float and curly fries (;

Caught sleeping again! Haha.

We didn’t really go to the theme park this time. I mean we wanted to but in the end we didn’t go. One of our main reasons was because we came together here and went to play the theme park the last time we were here. Well, another was because I injured my hand on the first night in genting :/ here’s what happened:

So this trip was us exploring more of Genting.

Well, we went down the mountain to eat near this mushroom farm but well, I didn’t get to see any mushrooms because it was under construction.

The next day, we went to this mini animal zoo near the bottom of the mountain (I suppose) where you can get to touch some of the animals there! We took the cable car there.

The scene outside was refreshing and breathtaking.
Finally we were at the animal zoo! i love a lot of animals there but I’m going to post some of the interesting animals that I saw!

My favorite dory fish! Sadly, it’s cooked in the dish “fish and chips” ;/

I was really scared by this gigantic cat fish. I was looking at the fish aquarium and suddenly the next fish that I saw was so huge and it looks as though it has an evil glitter in its eye and smile.

Okay there was more reptiles in the animal zoo, but I wasn’t going to waste any pictures on them but somehow this one was cool. It’s looks like it is modeling( with the curved back and all; but I guess it was light-bathing?)! There were frogs, snakes, spiders there but I didn’t really take any of them because I was kind of scared. Why? Imagine harry potter’s first incident in harry potter and the scourer stone.

I got to touch this bird :D it looks so cute(with that so called blush spot) ! it was funny because it didn’t like daryl! Whenever daryl’s hand came near, it wants to bite him!

So he went to take another bird. Haha, look at his scared expression! If you look carefully at the 2 birds, you’ll be able to see the difference. Haha, but in the end, this second bird came to my hand too :D haha, im a natural! We proceeded to walk around the zoo and the caretaker that was there were asking us if we want to take a picture with the snakes or reptiles! I said NO! well, because I was scared. I asked if he could bring out something cuter like the chipmunk there but he said chipmunks can be aggressive at times :/

So we went back to the petting section and I went to take the first bird again (; it was actually on my hand but as daryl approached again, it wanted to bite him and it slowly climbed up until my shoulder!

Look at my terrified face! Didn’t want it to bite my hair or ear off! Daryl and I reckon that that bird was a male that’s why it didn’t like him.

At night daryl’s dad got tickets for us and we went to watch this show called the DAZZLE. It was supposed to have magic in it, but we realized towards the end of the show then it’ll come up. The problem was in the beginning it was those olden Chinese songs that daryl and I didn’t like. So we went off. Haha after 5 mins inside the arena.

Us inside the room after escaping from that show. I love the room because it had this bathtub and living room! :D BTW, that hat I got it at only 10RM. So it’s like only SGD$ 4.50. Seriously, sometimes Singapore shops rip us off! I saw this hat in a shop the other day, and they were selling it at SGD $20! Totally not worth it ==

On the last day we left genting at 9am and it was so misty then! We literally couldn’t see anything infront! Kinda scary but thank God that there wasn’t much cars in the early morning.

After that, we went to a strawberry farm which was also near the bottom of the mountain. We get to choose our own strawberries and the strawberries there had some weird shapes! But according to daryl (I don’t eat strawberries), it was really sweet (;

after that we went to Batu Caves. and you had to climb all the way to the entrance yourself! while climbing halfway, i felt kinda scared because i might fall and all and i started to hold on to the railing tighter and proceeded towards the entrance slowly.

yup, you cant really see the ground from on top! it's that tall ==

END OF OUR TRIP :D

BTW, all these pictures were taken with my NEW camera (except the pics from the cave; my camera died on me :/) ! I got it at only $150 at ebay (not bad for a Nikon camera that is 10mp; I saw this on the market selling twice as much!). Seriously ebay has a lot of cheap and good stuff. Apparently that seller won it in a lucky draw and wanted to sell this off! I was lucky that I saw it :D
P.S: it’s so hard to get daryl to smile with me in pictures. But nevertheless, he still looks good =^^=
