Do you use photoshop?/ Mini-photoshop tutorial posted at 11:28 PM Thank you for being patient and waiting for my post to come out (: Can you believe it? I am sick again when I just recovered but I told myself that I gotta blog this post out. Well, most of you all know that I was going to post "How to have a smaller face" but I realized that another post have to come out first. (As I gathered you might think that I am using photoshop for a smaller face) Thus, this post is "Do you use Photoshop?" The answer is Yes, yes and yes. I don't understand why people think that I don't Photoshop my pictures then accuse that I do. I never said I didn't. Most of my pictures that I put on my blog have been photoshop-ed to look nicer. The only pictures that I am usually lazy to do are on my personal Facebook (unless it's a picture that intended for my blog). So... to what degree do I use photoshop? Well, why don't you see it yourself? (P.S: At the same time, you can see my jaw line changes from the past few months. My jaw line has improved so much from braces. Also, all my pictures below are taken at my house. Unfortunately I do not have a ring light or good lighting thus, my skin color always looks slightly off at home) Taken sometime in November 2012 at the my house after Jrunway Official Launch :
Before photoshop
After photoshop: better lighting, slightly smaller face and nose
Taken in January 2013 at my house for Jrunway Demin Launch:
Before photoshop
After photoshop: better lighting, better complexion (I was breaking out then *w*) , slightly smaller face and nose
Taken in March 2013 for my Jstar Contest:
Before photoshop
After photoshop: better lighting, smaller nose (didn't do anything to my face le!)
By the way... I joined a contest at Jrunway (located at Plaza Singapura Extension) and I need your help to vote for me! Please go to their store and buy any item and vote for Number 64!! (will blog about this soon)
Taken recently (April 2013) - Close up:
Before photoshop
After photoshop: better lighting, slightly smaller face and nose & yay to me going back to black hair?
So... the moral of the story is to never believe what you see online. haha. But I really love my face shape now. Totally recommend braces to anyone who want straight teeth and at the same time, getting a better jaw line. So normally what I would do for my pictures is... (Here's a Mini-photoshop tutorial - Im using CS6) 1. Adjust lighting. I have a good camera that usually gives a good lighting to my pictures. But if it's at home then, this is what I normally do at photoshop: Go to the tab "Image" - Click "Adjustments" - "Curves" Basically you would have to play with the graph till you like what you see 2. Make a smaller face/nose Oh my god... the main concern for me is my nose. I know how people say that I'm blessed with a sharp nose but at the same time it's quite big as well T.T What I would give if someone sponsors me for nose surgery. haha... But well, since I don't I guess it's back to shading makeup techniques and/or photoshop. Go to the tab "Filter" - Click "Liquify" - Press the first picture above. Select a good brush size and strength (brush size to be large enough for the area you want to change and strength to be low around 30-50) and then slowly bring in the brush to the desired outcome. 3. Sharpen the picture After you done those adjustment, is best to sharpen the picture again so that it doesn't look like it has been altered. hehe... like magic. Go to the tab "Filter" - Click "Sharpen" - "Unsharp Mask" Select a (usually small) number to get a more sharpen picture. Yup and that's it. I hope no bloggers will kill me for letting you guys know. haha. But then again, you can always look up on youtube (: Hope this helps to those who wants better pictures (: Alright, stay tuned till the next post "How to have a smaller face" (: Have a great week! P.S: I try to blog every weekend (; |
